Famous Cosmetics Lip Addiction in Raw & Pillow Talk

Hey my beauties how are you all doing today :)
I dont know if you all remember around Christmas MUA aka Make Up Acadamey had an offer going that if you spend £10 you got 4 Famous product for free.  Now to be honest I had no idea what these 4 new products were I actually thought MUA was coming out with yet more new surprise product that we were getting to try out before they put them on site but now this is actually from another site.  I know what your asking now the same as myself.  Why would MUA give away 4 products from another makeup brand?
So I asked MUA what Famous had to do with them and they said that Famous was sister of MUA.  Nice :)
I have never heard about the brand before and was so excited to try it out.  It was like finding a little pot of gold when I looked up the site to see before me yet another site that was super affordable.
Famous Cosmetics was actually launched in 2007 by a a popular makeup artist Sue Moxley.

Sue is one of the UK's leading beauty experts working with an impressive client list of celebrities,TV programmes, newspapers and magazines.  In July 2009 she joined forces with the people behind the leading tanning product Fake Bake to expand the Famous by Sue Moxley brand and increase its success.

Sue also has an online shop on her website with brushes

So let me begin by reviewing the first of the 4 products I got which is the Lip Addiction Lipsticks
Ok so let me begin by saying these two little beauties were the first things that caught my eye and I just couldnt resist but try them out straight away.
Normally these lipsticks cost £4.99 each which is super affordable as it is but at the moment they are half price at just £2.49 :) Actually everything on site is half price until the 3rd February :)
Now the packaging is pretty straight forward apart from one thing :)
The secret flip up lid with a mirror inside along with a lip balm matching the shade of the lipstick.  Now how cool is that :) :)
There are 6 shades to choose from but because this came with the offer I didn't get to choose my shades.  The 6 shades look lovely and looks like there is a shade for everyone which is great.
The formula on these are somewhat like the MUA Lip Boom Lipsticks .
The scent of these lipsticks are of a vanilla scent.  Not too strong but you can get the scent when applying but after about 10 minutes the scent disappears.  The Formula of the lipsticks are so so like the MUA Lipsticks.  Smooth creamy and soft.  I found the formula a little different with the Shade Raw and later I will explain how.  The pigmentation is actually amazing.  You could get away with just one layer but they are buildable to whatever strength you desire.
I found these lasted about 3-4 hours depending on eating and drinking but of course the darker the lipstick the longer lasting they are.
Let me go ahead and show you the shades and of course the balms with them :)
"Raw" This is a very neutral shade :)  This is a perfect nude shade with a peachy undertone to it.  Now to be honest This is far too nude for me.  It really does nothing for me.  The application of this lipstick was sort of different to Pillow talk in a sense that it seemed to be alot oilier than pillow talk.  When applying this to my lips yes it felt smooth and creamy but it seemed to slide around my lips.  It ended up becoming patchy on me and It was so much of an effort to get it looking somewhat proper on my lips.  Now maybe it was just the batch I got but I wasnt happy with it at all.  The balm part of it was fine and I actually see myself wearing it when i have a smokey eye going on.
Its not the worst colour I have tried but its not a favourite :) I think maybe if the formula was a bit better that might have changed my mind :)
"Pillow Talk"  Now this is a fantastic shade for the Spring and Summer months to come :)
This is a beautiful Orangey pinky shade but when applied you will see a slight hint of coral in the mix :).  When you look at the photo above you see nothing but orange believe me that changes once it touches the lip.  The formula on this lipstick is fantastic its smooth creamy and ever so soft and moisturising.  It glides on like a dream and you would get away with one application.  Of course like the other its build able   I found i got about 3 hours wear out of this before i felt i needed to top it up.   Now the balm itself is lighter and more on the pinky coral side rather that having the orangey tint I actually like it and it warms up my complexion even if I am not wearing makeup.  I really like this lipstick :)
Here is a photo of the balms on my lips without the lipstick applied
Ok so Overall what is my opinion?
Well as I said at the start these lipsticks remind me so much of the MUA lipsticks which cost £1 and these full price cost £4.99 yes there is some difference there and to be honest I would not pay full price for these lipsticks even though you are getting the tiny mirror and the balm extra.  I would pay for them when they are half price though as they are funky and I like the style :)  I will go back and purchase more while the half price sale is on as I dont think MUA has the shades that Famous is doing.
I think even for the price you are getting a bargain and they are perfect for everyday wear I certainly would not rely on them lasting any-more than the 4 hours without topping up but for a drug-store lipstick what so you expect.
Famous Cosmetics is also sold in Superdrug stores
Have you ever heard of this brand before?
Have you tried any of their products ?
I have been a very naughty girl and made a sort of medium to large order from Famous Cosmetics.  So much of her stuff looks too appealing to give it a miss and the fact there is a half price sale on I just Had to.  Ok its not really for me Its for you guys Ok????    Alright maybe its a little bit for me hehehehe
Until next time

MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blusher in Yummy & Blossom

Hello my beauties
How are you all doing today
As you probably have notices i have been a little slow with my blog posts recently.  That was due to personal reasons and I just hadnt got time to be near a laptop to do any.  Everything is slowly getting sorted so I should be up and running in no time.  My apologies and thank you so much for been so patient.
Today I am reviewing more MUA products from my recent Haul.  I have also ordered much more products from MUA in their recent 50% off sale but I think it will take a while before I get my hands on them as there is so many orders they have to go through and even find on the system as their system crashed so many times its was crazy crazy!!! So my order has not even went through yet as i didnt get a confirmation email but I have sent them all the details they need to find it so it should be sorted soon :)
Anyways back to the review
I know I am sort of slow with this newish product as they were realised back in September 2012 but better late than never eh?
I have always wanted to try these since I first saw them I just never got around to buying them until now.
The packaging of these blushes are so cute.  It slim and light weight and perfect for travelling.  The lid is fairly sturdy and you have no fear of it becoming loose in your bag.  There are 4 shades to choose from altogether and each blush contains 3.2g of product for only £2 each an absolutely amazing price.  So I decided to go with 2 shades for now to see what they were like and chose the 2 shades I thought would most likely suit me.  I am glad to say that I am very pleased with both shades as they suit my skin tone perfect.
This is the shade "Yummy":  The main reason i picked this shade was because it looked like the darkest out of the four but looked stunning on the MUA Blog.  It looked like the perfect wintery/natural blush so i had to have it.  This is an absolutely stunning berry pink shade oh girlies if you are looking for the perfect blush that leaves you cheeks looking like you have snow whites cheeks this is the blush to go for.  This would look stunning on anyone with medium to dark skin tones but anyone with fair skin tones can use this very lightly and it will still look fabulous.  I have to say this is my favourite out of the 2 I have :)
wearing Yummy lightly on the cheeks :)
Next up
"Blossom"  This is a more natural pinky shade with a touch of a coral finish.  This shade is beautiful and perfect for Spring/Summer months for for the "no makeup days".  The shade is perfect for anyone with fair to medium skin tone anyone with a darker skin tone will not find any colour pay off im afraid.  I find this is so light it applies sheer at the start but you can build it to a more natural look.  Its stunning for everyday wear.
As you can see it just gives a nice natural look no body would even know your wearing it :)
Please note I normally have no colour on my cheeks without a little blush added :)
Overall I think these blushes are well worth every penny.  They glide on really smoothly.  I like to dot a little on my cheek and blend with my e.l.f Flat Top Brush.  They are so easy to blend and look flawless on the cheeks.  I found they last a good 5 to 6 hours before I notice any fading.  If you set it with a matching blush they will last until you take them off.  I am delighted I have these to my collection now as they give my cheeks a beautiful dewy finish and I am looking forward to wearing these more in the summer :)
These blushes are especially perfect for any of you dry skin sufferers out there too.  Make sure when applying to remember cream to cream powder to powder.  Do not apply these over powder foundations or they will just look messy.  :)
Have you tried these blushes yet?  Which shade would you like to try out
Until next time

Blank Canvas Cosmetics (BCC) 6 Pan Contour Palette

Top of the Morning to you all (well some of you as it could be night time now in other countries)  Ok ok Hello everyone :)
Please excuse the craziness you might read in this blog post as im am kinda full of caffeine as I was up the whole night long with the most horrible horrible tooth ache and everytime I even tried to lie down The shooting pain would hit one side of my face plus i had no pain killers or anti-inflammitories in the house to get some relief.  I will have to go through this pain until if not longer until I get an appointment with Dentist :(
Any-whooooo enough about my moaning lol How are you all doing this fine weekend :)
Well as you can see This blog post is about BCC's 6 Pan Contour Palette in which I finally after so long of wanting it Got yeeeeeeeee.  This has been on my wishlist for so so long but every time i went to purchase it, it was out of stock because this little beauty is the top selling palette from BCC
Now if you are a regular reader you would know that Blank Canvas Cosmetics is one of my favourite Irish sites to shop from.  I absolutely love their brushes in which I have built up quite a few now (smiling very proud of myself) and I have reviews done on them for you all.
Blank Canvas Cosmetics products have such high quality product for such a brilliant affordable price its amazing :) Una the woman who runs it is the sweetest person you could ever deal with and to be honest treats every one of her customers with the highest respect which is an added bonus.  Plus Blank Canvas does ship internationally which i love because you guys can get a taste of what Irish companies have to offer its great
Im babbling again I'm sorry lol but when I rave about something I get so excited talking about it and have to give every detail possible :)
This palette is absolutely amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is 100% a product RAVE !!!!!!!
Just look at the size of the 6 pans alone :O
You should have seen my 7 year old boys face when I opened up this palette you see he likes to take an interest in what I get makeup wise especially palettes as he loves colours etc.
So he has seen quite a few of my palettes and what came out of his mouth was "Mam look at the size of those circles they are much bigger than the other ones you have" and he is right I was totally in awwww when I opened this up.
As you can see you are getting
2 highlight shades
2 setting powders in which one of them could be used as a blush
2 bronzer/contour shades
This is the top left shade which is a Matte white (highlight).  This is great for the brow bone, for the inner corner of your eyes even for setting you under eye concealers
The next highlight shade which is the first bottom left pan:  This is more of a light yellow toned highlighter and works amazing under the eyes for me when I am setting my concealer. I also use this on the areas the I highlight like the bridge of my nose, cupids bow etc.
This is the second pan from the top row.  Its a Light yellow toned setting powder.  This is great for anyone with fair to medium skin who want to use this as a setting powder for their foundation.
This is the 2nd shade from the bottom row and another setting powder.  Its more of a peachy/pink setting powder and to be honest a very pretty everyday blush for anyone with fair to medium skin tones I have actually used this as a blush along with my contouring with a smokey eye look and have to say was very pleased with the finish :)
This is the last shade on the top row and is a contour shade.  Its a light brown and is a perfect shade for me for contouring I love this shade and have been using it everyday since I bought this palette
& the last on the bottom row even though this looks light its the darkest in the palette.  Its a more darker brown and a perfect more noticeable contour shade.  I sometime mix the top and bottom shades or even on a night out when i wear a more darker foundation I use the darker one on its own.
Overall this palette is absolutely amazing.  Its amazing.  I have not put it down since I got it and thats no lie.  The powders are so soft and silky smooth it is a pleasure to use these.  They blend amazingly and for 6 pans of powder you have so many options to mix and match shades to find your match.  The lasting power is amazing.  I just love the quality and the fact I only paid........ Wait for it ................ 10.99 euro ............ Yes that it thats all this palette costs and its worth way more than this.  Like one of these pans are exactly the same size as some other drugstore compacts and cost near enough the same price if not more.
I also love the fact that every one of these shades are matte.  Its great for all ages even the more mature women as shimmery bronzers and blushes tend to enhance large pores and fine lines so this would be great for anyone who wants to buy this for their their mums, aunts etc
I am 100% in love with this and will surely be buying a back up and one for my kit.  The packaging is so professional and will impress any client :)
Now that i have had my first taste of BCC's palettes I am looking forward to trying more of their palettes :) :) If you are thinking of purchasing from Blank Canvas Enter "NINA" at the end for a little discount for all my lovely readers I Hope you enjoy
Have you tried this palette yet?  What's your thoughts on it :)
Until next time

Catrice LE SpectaculART

Hey My Wonderful Readers How are you all doing today?
Well finally after weeks of hearing the Snow is to come it finally arrived this morning.  You can imagine all the excitement plus the twins real first time seeing snow here, but of course the snow didnt stick as it pured with rain last night and also the snow has decided to change to sleet so all we see is alot of puddles and muck and  dull weather but hey it might change.
Anyways today I am showing you the latest Catrice Limited Edition call "SpectaculART"
Bombay meets Paris. Indian opulence coupled with French modernity. On the international catwalks, fashion designers are combining sari-like skirts, intricately decorated borders and embroidered coats with accurately cut shirts and simple blouses this winter season. The colors gold, silver, burgundy and pink dominate this look.
The Limited Edition “spectaculART” by CATRICE from November to December 2012 is inspired by this crossover couture and the Indian bindi-look of the winter season 2012.
Now as always I only buy what I think I will use so let me show you what I got from the Collection
There is a few products I ended up not picking up for instance
The Mousse Blush which to be honest looked like a blush I got from a previous collection and still have lots of so I passed on that
The Sheer Lip Colours there was 3 to pick from and to be honest they WERE very sheer when I swatched them they were more of a tinted lip balm which I have too many of and the colours didnt really convince to to buy them.
And lastly I only bought 1 shade out of the 5 shades of Nail Polishes available as the shades look alot like some I already have in my huge collection.
So lets get on with the Items I did Get :)
Lashes to Impress :)
The moment i saw these I just had to pick them up.  You see I have a love for Single lashes more so than strip lashes.  I always have as I prefer to have control Of where I want them.  I think they are great for both everyday and night time looks.  Dont get me wrong I do Like strip lashes but I feel Single Lashes dont feel so heavy.
The Lashes come in 3 rows each one different lengths and different widths.  You also get lash glue which to be honest I never really use glue that comes with lashes as I always use the one lash glue which is Duo Lash Glue its the best :)  The packaging these lashes come in is quite good and sturdy so you can take them anywhere without them getting damaged :) For only 4 euro I recommend you pick them up
Next Items I got
Pure Chrome Eyeshadows
These Little Beauties were the first thing noticed and grabbed every shade.  For only 4 euro per eyeshadow I just couldnt pass them would you?  Just look at the design of these beauties they certainly look pricier than they were thats for sure.  The funny thing I noticed about these eyeshadows is a dint in them and obviously its part of the design you will see in the closer picture its like a finger dent in every one of them sunny eh?
Another funny thing I noticed was on the site these eyeshadows are named but on the eyeshadows themselves there is no names but thats only a minor thing right?
So let me show you the shades up close
01 Artfully Lustrous
This is a stunning Green with golden shimmer.  The finish is sort of metallicy but not overly.  This is pigmented once a good primer is used but it does need a little bit more effort than the rest.  Once a primer is used this looks stunning :)
02 Bombay Bauble
When I seen this shade at first I actually thought "What could I actually call this shade" In the pan it looks like a grey/silver but when swatched it actually has grey/taupe/dark brown with multi coloured shimmers :) This is a stunning shade for a dark smokey eye and looks stunning applied damp you could actually get away with this on its own.  Its very pigmented and takes very little to achieve a look.  This will need a good primer for the shadow to hold onto if your not applying it wet as you will experience fall out otherwise
03 Treasure It
This is oh so pretty just look at it in the pan never mind the swatch of it :)  This is a stunning metallic Silver with the teeniest tiniest multi-coloured micro shimmers.  This is full of pigmentation and looks stunning dry or wet Love it :)
04 Artfully Lustrous
This is such a stunning shade yes I know its a light shade but it works wonders for your eyes.  Its stunning as a highlight for the inner corners of your eyes to make them look more awakes, its great for under the brow.  Its also great of a highlight on top of your cheek bones :)  Its a stunning sparkly champagne shade.  I love to use this on its own on the lid with a nice thick winged liner look.  You cant go a miss with this eyeshadow for sure
Next up is
Highlight Powder in Artful Lustrous
To be honest I have no Idea why I bought this as I have so many highlight powders especially from Catrice but when I seen it in the store I couldnt help but be dragged in by the light hitting the pan.  The golden shimmers called out to me say "buy me" and of course i did.  To be honest it didnt wow me.
Its a stunning champagne highlight with a golden sheen when swatched and would be a great highlight for everyone but for it its far too sheer and i also found it a little on the chalky side which is surprising for Catrice because normally their highlighters are quite good but as i said its sheer and needs quite a few swatches before appearing on the skin the photo below is taken in direct sunlight and swatched about 4 to 5 times.  This highlight i suppose would be good for everday use but to be honest this is one I do regret buying as I have plenty of highlights that do a better job
Next up is
Superfine Eyeliner Pen
At first when I seen the tip of this eyeliner pen I had huge hopes that this was going to be brilliant as you will see by the photo below It looks amazing
I as hugely disappointed when I got this home and tried it.  The tip of the pen is flimzy and bends a little and the pigmentation isnt exactly brilliant either.  At first I thought maybe it needs a few swatches before it works properly so I drew a few lines to get it started but no still the same this will be ok for everyday use but nothing more in my eyes another disappointing product for me im afraid
And lastly
Ultimate Nail Lacquer in "Soulful"
I love Catrice Nail Polishes Always have since I started buying them and have quite a few in my collection.  They are just amazing quality for the price and you get quite alot for only 2.51 euro how could you pass them.  Out of the 5 shade to choose from in this collection This shade stood out to me the most as the rest looked alot like shades I had in my collection already
I am so pleased I got this shade now as its a fantastic dark burgandy with tiny golden shimmers that is only noticable in sunlight.  This took 2 coats but I like to apply a 3rd to make it last longer.  Its absolutely stunning
Overall I am really happy with the eyeshadows they are absolutely stunning and well worth every cent.
The lashes are brilliant they feel soft and are very comfortable I did not try the glue but I am sure it would be good enough to use if you hadn't any other glue.
The nail polish as you can tell I love :) They never disappoint me :)
The highlighter is not the worst I have bought but to be honest I don't see myself rushing to use it often I just find it too sheer but it might be more noticeable on a woman of colour.
The eyeliner pen is another I will not be rushing to use and will probably end up throwing it away as its just too patchy and too time consuming to apply to make it look noticeable.
I hope this review was helpful to all you Catrice lovers out there.
Have any of you tried these yet?
What do you think of this Limited Edition :)
Until Next Time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter
